The Rabindranath Tagore Poetry Competition Award Ceremony
Please join us as we celebrate our local poets at the Rabindranath Tagore Poetry Competition Award Ceremony, to be held at the Moss House, 218 Roslyn Road, on Thursday, May 28 at 6PM!
Five Poets from across Manitoba have been shortlisted for the Rabindranath Tagore Poetry Competition 2026. The List of Poems in Alphabetical order is:
“As in a mirror” by Daniel J.Botha
“Blue Christmas Service” by Jim Van Dusen
“One Shining Moment” by Mitchell Toews
“The Lake at the End” by Bev Johnston
“When I Think of You, I Want to Find You” by Desiree Penner
The shortlist was selected from 56 submissions, and we thank our preliminary judges, including Sue Sorensen, Sarah Ens, and Angeline Shellenberg, for their notable work. The shortlist will be announced on May 2, 2026. The Award Reception Event will be on May 28, 2026, at 6 pm (More Information to Follow Shortly).
