Madison Kehler is a Canadian author living in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She is a believer in Christ and loves history, two things she incorporates into her novels. Journey of Hope is the first book she has published. Writing is one of her passions and has been since she was seven years old. Madison works in supported employment and in her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, doing puzzles, and spending time with family and friends. 

Journey of Hope is a Christian Historical Fiction novel. It begins in the Pale of Settlement in 1915. A young woman, Bithiah, has been banished from her home because of her faith, and her younger sister Freyda decides to follow her. They long to go to the United States, which they believe is a land of fulfilled dreams and freedom. Instead, they face tragedy, trials, and helplessness as their loved ones face the unimaginable back home.

Trigger warnings: Journey of Hope contains references to death (multiple), life-threatening illness and conditions in children and adults, blood, vomit, attempted suicide, the Holocaust, violence of war, depression, anxiety, childbirth, stillbirth, family discord, addiction, sexual harassment, conflict around religion, and references to rape, miscarriage, and negative attitudes towards pregnancy outside of marriage.
