David Y Williamson

This month, our featured author, David Y Williamson, will be in Winnipeg for other events and wanted to make his Book Chat more personal by having a hybrid event for those who can’t be there in person. It will be the first time the Manitoba Writers’ Guild has held an in-person Book Chat, since the initial Chat in 2020!

About David:

David Yerex Williamson is a poet and instructor living in northern Manitoba, on the bank of the Nelson River (Treaty V Territory). “Through Disassembled Houses of Perfect Stones”, released by At Bay Press in April, 2022, is his first full length poetry collection. Some of his recent work appeared in The Dalhousie Review and The New Quarterly, and new work will appear in The Eunoia Review, International Journal of Literature.

David will read and present at the Manitoba Writers’ Guild Book Chat in the evening on May 10th, focusing on his publishing journey and the intersection between territory/identity and verse. Content will include poetry from “Through Disassembled Houses of Perfect Stones” and new works. A question and answer session will follow.
