The CTV Breakfast Show features the MWG!

By Andy Dutfield

Thanks to CTV and Ainsley McPhail, the MWG was featured CTV Breakfast Show on the 16th of March! It was a great opportunity to introduce the Guild to the general public. A big thank you also to our members who turned up at ArtSpace at such an early hour!

Our Chair David Williamson, gave a general overview of the origin and mission of the Guild and discussed the importance of our volunteers.

Vice Chair Tami Reynolds, detailed all our programs and activities and also highlighted the mental benefits of creative writing to lift mood and general well-being.

Rebecca Cooke, our Youth Coordinator, introduced the Youth creative writing program now in its fourth year. Lilah Bateman, a Sheldon Mentorship Mentee and member of our Youth program, talked about the benefits to her of the programs that she has been involved with since joining the Guild

Amanda Le Rougetel and Heather Emberley briefly described the Ephermera Writing workshop program, which has been so successful we are running a second workshop on April 11. Thanks also to Steve Oetting for assisting with that program.
