Software designer, stained-glass artist, musician and songwriter, woodworker, gardener, nature enthusiast and amateur writer, Steve Oetting likes to keep busy. A graduate of the U. of Manitoba with a major in Computer Science and minors in Calculus and Statistics, Steve incorporated and was CEO of two software development companies, one of which he recently sold but still works at as a full-time systems analyst. Steve loves writing about the human condition and has completed two novels, one fiction and one non-fiction, and is currently working on a third. Steve also recently won 2nd place in the non-fiction short story category at the Surrey Muse Art & Literature Awards 2023.
Steve is a recent member of the MWG and is enjoying the community spirit and valuable information exchange the guild provides. He lives in Winnipeg with his wife Brenda and his young husky named Pumpkin Pie, who he calls Pumpkin and his wife calls Mr. Pie.
