Software designer, stained-glass artist, musician and songwriter, woodworker, gardener, nature enthusiast and amateur writer, Steve Oetting likes to stay busy. A graduate of the U. of Manitoba with a major in Computer Science and minors in Calculus and Statistics, Steve created two software development companies, one of which he recently divested but still works at as a full-time systems analyst. Steve loves writing about the human condition and has completed three novels, two fiction and one non-fiction. Steve also won 2nd place in the non-fiction short story category at the Surrey Muse Art & Literature Awards 2023.
Steve is a recent member of the MWG and is enjoying the community spirit and valuable information exchange the Guild provides. He lives in Winnipeg with his wife Brenda and his young husky named Pumpkin Pie, who he calls Pumpkin and his wife calls Mr. Pie.
