Black History Month Celebrated at MWG

Every February, the Manitoba Writers’ Guild (MWG) celebrates Black History Month by uplifting the voices of emerging BIPOC writers, which is why the MWG offers programs like the Rabindranath Tagore Poetry Competition.

Effective February 2026, the Manitoba Writers’ Guild will expand its Critique Circle offerings with a new event focused on these two popular writing genres. This group will meet online on the last Tuesday of each month. If you are interested in joining this event, please contact Andy Dutfield, Critique Circle coordinator, .
