Alison York

As a child and young adult, I wrote to express myself. I was and still am a more introverted person, gaining energy from being alone as opposed to being in a large group of people. I love the outdoors, walking or biking in the woods. The first twenty working years were spent in the police/court system/probation system as a clerk, in Winnipeg and the Okanagan. The following twenty plus years I followed my passion, working with dogs, horses, animals in general. During those years, I used my eclectic skill set and became an educational assistant, working with students one-on-one or in small groups to help them attain their education level. Now retired, I am back to expressing myself through writing. I love to use some of my experiences and other real-life scenarios in a fictional context.
