Website Maureen Fergus is an award-winning author of books for kids of all ages. Her books have been translated into almost a dozen languages, optioned for television and shortlisted for such prestigious awards as the Canadian Children’s Book Centre Marilyn Baillie Picture Book Award, the Canadian Library Association Young Adult Book Award, the Joan Betty Struchner – Oy Vey! – Funniest Children’s Book Award, the Saskatchewan Diamond Willow Reader’s Choice Award and the Ontario Library Association Silver Birch Award. Her novels include Exploits of a Reluctant (But Extremely Goodlooking) Hero, The Gypsy King trilogy and Ortega, which won the McNally Book for Young People award. Her picture books include the critically acclaimed Buddy and Earl series, Invisibill and the Day My Mom Came to Kindergarten, which won the Ontario Library Association Blue Spruce Award. Maureen lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba with her family.
