Danie Botha was born in Zambia and completed his school education and medical training in South Africa. He has called Canada home for the past 22 years and is still learning to speak proper Canadian. (It’s similar to English.) He has published three novels, a novella and a poetry collection. If he’s not working at the hospital or busy writing, ha can be found cycling, land paddling, and cross-country skiing in winter (if it’s not too bitterly cold).
